How to Wear a Statement Blouse

You may have noticed that the blog has been a little quiet over the last couple of weeks. That is because life has been a little crazy over here lately. I had no idea that the end of the summer would be such a busy/stressful time of year for a mom. Preparing Jack for kindergarten and trying to cram in all the last-minute summer activities has been a lot. That’s why I needed to not worry about blog content and just focus on other things.

Now that life is starting to settle down I am excited to start getting some blog posts out again. I’m excited that fall is right around the corner because I love sharing fall fashion! It’s the best season to style clothes for!

I recently started to work with another local West Michigan boutique called Bella Grace Boutique. I stopped by the shop a couple weeks ago and I had so much fun trying on different pieces. I love shopping at boutiques because it’s always a fun way to find new unique styles. One of the pieces that I came home with is this Raspberry Pink Smocked Blouse. I will tell you that I am not a blouse girl. I don’t like a lot of fluff and I always feel like blouses just don’t flatter me. Well, this blouse has changed my mind about how I feel about a statement blouse. I loved it immediately when I tried it on. It has the cutest polka-dot pattern on it. The sleeves are puffy with a pretty little ruffle at the wrist. I love the material and how it lays and it’s also thick enough that you don’t need to wear a cami under it. Plus the color is so perfect for fall. It’s not pink, it’s not red, it’s not peach, it’s raspberry pink! It is just the perfect statement blouse!
