Let’s just start by saying, I’ve never met a Walmart shoe that I didn’t love. It wasn’t until a few years ago when I was still teaching that I discovered my love for Walmart shoes. I bought a couple pairs of flats to wear in my classroom. They were under $10 and very cute, so I figured they would be perfect for work because I wouldn’t have to worry about ruining them. I usually save that sort of thing for Instagram and LiketoKnow.it, but I figured since I’ve made 2 recent trips to Old Navy in the last week I might as well share all my finds in a blog post. As a girl who loves to shop, I try not to be a shopaholic or a wasteful shopper. I try to be mindful of each purchase I make throughout the year. I keep an ongoing wish list in the notes on my phone to limit the number of impulse buys I make. I also try to be as budget-friendly as I can when I shop. I strive to stay under $50 on each shopping trip or online order and I try to limit the amount of shopping I do. I don’t keep a record of my purchases throughout the year, but I think it’s something that I’m going to do this next coming year. I think it would be nice to see on paper how much I actually spend throughout the year.

I love fall! Who doesn’t love everything fall? The foods, the smells, the FASHION! I love it all! What I really love about fall clothes is that you can start to layer again! My outfit always feels like something is missing if I’m not layering with anything. Summer is too hot for layers and winter is too cold for just one light layer. That’s why I love the transitional seasons of spring and fall so much. One thing in my closet that I can’t ever have enough of are cardigans. I love them! I wear them almost every day, so they are always a well-made purchase. That’s why today I want to share some of my favorite cardigans this fall and where I like to shop for them.

9 Mom Friendly Fall Outfits from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opened to the public this weekend, and so that means the normal non-cardholders, like myself, are welcome to shop the sale. Now I know I polled my followers on Instagram and many of them said they are not shopping the NSale and they don’t care to hear about it. I can respect that. I know that if you follow any other bloggers besides me, you know this sale is a little overdone. I myself don’t typically shop the NSale, because to be honest, I don’t stop just because there is a sale. I try to only shop for things that I really want and I’ve been eyeing for a while. This doesn’t mean I don’t like to browse the sale. Every year I spend hours browsing through the Nordstrom App and other bloggers’ blog posts to see what the most popular items are. Sometimes I spend so much time browsing and eyeing the sale that I end up buying one or two things, but I try to make sure that it’s something from my “shopping list”. I usually pick out items that I will wear and love for years to come.
