Helping women love what they wear on a budget

Where to Buy Affordable Maternity Clothes

February 10, 2020 by Katie Haller

Today I’m continuing my series on Building a Maternity Wardrobe on a Budget.  As I’ve mentioned before, it can be overwhelming trying to figure out what kinds of maternity clothes to buy and how to do it all on a budget.  You only get to wear them for a few months, so you want to be sure that what you are buying is necessary.  If you missed my first post in this series on what maternity clothes you need to buy and what you don’t need to buy, I recommend you go back and read it! (Post HERE) If you’re all caught up, then today I’m moving on to talking about where you can buy affordable maternity clothes.

What's in my Makeup Collection- Favorite Makeup Products

I’m always wondering what kind of makeup other people are using.  That’s why I love to share my favorite beauty products that I’m currently using.  Recently my makeup collection has been getting a little upgrade.  Nothing too crazy, but I have been trying out a few higher-end brands.  I figure I’m getting older and there are some items that I’ve been wanting to try out, so why not?

Here are all my favorite current beauty products that I’ve been using daily.

18 Week Baby Bump Update + Second Trimester Outfits

January 23, 2020 by Katie Haller

I’m really excited to be writing my first bump update for baby #2.  Not only do I love being able to share my pregnancy journey with all of you, but these posts are also nice for me to look back on.  I love being able to document this special time in my life and look back on it.  I will often go through and read my old blog posts from my first pregnancy and it’s just fun to remember how I was feeling and what was going on in my life at that time.  This is most likely my last pregnancy, so I want to remember this special time in my life since I may never experience this again.

First Trimester Winter Outfits- What to Wear Before the Bump

When you are in your first trimester and early second trimester, it’s often hard to figure out what to wear.  You might be feeling your body changing, but to the outside world around you, it may just look like you ate a big lunch.  I like to call this stage of pregnancy the “before the bump” stage.  For me, I just want to be comfortable during all the stages of my pregnancy, so figuring out how to dress for each one is important.

My Top 10 Favorite Finds of 2019

January 1, 2020 by Katie Haller

Top 10 Favorite Finds of 2019
As a girl who loves to shop, I try not to be a shopaholic or a wasteful shopper.  I try to be mindful of each purchase I make throughout the year.  I keep an ongoing wish list in the notes on my phone to limit the number of impulse buys I make.  I also try to be as budget-friendly as I can when I shop.  I strive to stay under $50 on each shopping trip or online order and I try to limit the amount of shopping I do. I don’t keep a record of my purchases throughout the year, but I think it’s something that I’m going to do this next coming year.  I think it would be nice to see on paper how much I actually spend throughout the year.

I love a black dress, but on its own it’s a litt I love a black dress, but on its own it’s a little boring! Here’s my outfit formal for keeping my summer outfits from falling short! 👇

1️⃣ Create shape and balance! I did this by adding a belt just above my natural waist.
2️⃣ Add Jewelry. Do not skip this step! No outfit is complete without at least 2 pieces of jewelry.
3️⃣ Define the style of the outfit with shoes! The style of shoes you pick will define your outfit. Example Sneakers=casual, Heels=dressy, in this case I went with an elevated casual sandal. It’s a step up from casual, but not too dressy. Elevated casual is my personal favorite style because it can go either way. 😉
4️⃣ Complete the look with some accessories! A cute hand bag or sunglasses 😎

Follow this summer outfit formula to keep all your outfits looking cute and stylish this summer!
